They couldn’t go out to work during the Movement Control Order enforced by the Malaysian government to contain the pandemic, making their already difficult lives more challenging. Many Tzu Chi volunteers thought they would be out of work when shelter-at-home orders were implemented in response to the coronavirus pandemic, but much to their surprise, they became even busier. The pandemic has made life harder for the impoverished. The underserved need a hand now more than ever to pull them through this difficult time.
